What’s Covered?
With Play Travel Protection, you’re covered for a wide range of unexpected situations, including:
- Trip Cancellation & Interruption – Get reimbursed up to 100% of your prepaid vacation costs if illness, injury, or unforeseen circumstances prevent you from traveling.
- Weather-Related Delays & Natural Disasters – If a hurricane or blizzard forces an evacuation or makes your rental uninhabitable, you’re protected.
- Work Conflicts & School Extensions – Need to cancel due to loss of job or an extended school year? You may qualify for coverage.
- Lost Baggage & Travel Delays – Get reimbursed for lost personal items and expenses due to flight delays.
- Medical Emergencies – up to $25,000 in coverage for emergency accident and sickness medical expense.
- Emergency Medical Evacuations – up to $250,000 in coverage if an Accidental Injury or Sickness commencing during the course of the trip results in your or a Traveling Companion’s necessary Emergency Evacuation.
- Pet Protection – If your cat or dog passes away within seven days before your trip, you may be eligible for reimbursement.
Cancel for Any Reason
Travel protection with the CFAR benefit includes everything in the standard protection PLUS the added flexibility to cancel and receive partial reimbursement for any reason not otherwise specified as covered. Cancel for Any Reason coverage may be purchased at the time of initial booking or within 14 days of initial booking. No purchase allowed less than 30 days before check-in date. How to Purchase
Adding Play Travel Protection to your Fort Lauderdale Stays booking is easy:
- During the booking process – Add travel insurance when you reserve your vacation rental.
- After booking – Standard travel protection is available up to 30 days before check-in.
- Within 14 days of booking – CFAR protection must be purchased within this timeframe.
